Everett Mountaineers is a group of about 900 hikers, scramblers, and climbers who get out every weekend throughout the year exploring the cascades on water and on the highest of peaks in Washington state. Stand up paddling or paddle boarding (aka SUP) is the fastest growing water sport in the country. The modern version of the sport began in Hawaii and in recent years has spread worldwide. You can SUP on lakes, saltwater, rivers, in surf, and in all weather conditions. Racing has become very popular and many also fish and crab from the SUPs. Anyone can paddle a SUP!
