This group has been created for the purpose of connecting SDA's in the Northwest that are interested in activities in the great outdoors. These activities include hiking, canoeing, backpacking, camping, trailriding, rock climbing, and pretty much whatever your outdoor pursuits include. You should join if you are a Seventh-Day Adventist in the Pacific Northwest that is interested in leading or joining a group to enjoy these activities.
Join MOAB to connect with other fun and outdoor loving 50+ year old Mountain Bikers, DH and XC Skiers, and Hikers, Canoers and Kayakers. We will meet on weekends (and during the week sometimes) to revel in the great northwest outdoors. If you want to have fun with Boomers in the Portland area who love outdoor activities, give MOAB a shot! This group is run totally by the members. Eachindividual event organizer and those attending make the determination of how things will function.

The game for April 28th is cancelled due to inclement weather. Please contact me if you have questions. So you like the outdoors? You say you like adrenaline? How about meeting great people ? Then stretch your legs, put on your running shoes and steady your aim! Because now there's laser tag...outdoors! Outdoor laser tag is a slightly different type of game than indoor. Scratch the day-glo paint and the dry ice, insert mountain sides, boulders, streams and blue skies. It's essentially the …

The family-friendly Portland Chapter of the Oregon Nordic Club began in 1968 to promote the values of cross country skiing. Since then, we've grown into a group of friends who telemark, hike, camp, paddle and bike on monthly outings. We love spending outdoor time together in the Northwest forests, mountains, and in-town -- year-round! We are family friendly. A growing group of parents and kids (of all ages) meet to ski, hike and bike. In the past, we've hosted one-day x-country ski lessons and …

We are a group of Moms, Dads and kiddos (birth-5 years)who love the outdoors and enjoy allowing our little hikers to lead the way! We are an easy-going group and our hikes vary in length depending upon how the kiddos and adults are doing, the weather etc. We tend to go at our own pace and we adapt to what our children need. We will have scheduled hikes that will be during the week with monthly weekend hikes and hopefully a summer camping trip! Our adventures will take place in and around …

… There are quite a few outdoor-exploration
groups in the Portland area, as I'm sure many of you know, and I've noticed that a lot of the hikes I've done--especially backpacking and car camping trips--have had a much higher ratio of men to women. I love hiking/camping with my male friends, but I'd also like to have an opportunity to spend more time with other women who have a penchant for nature and adventure.
For those of you who are interested, I intend to occasionally post events during which w …
This group is designed to keep a regular weekly pickup game going in Portland. Look here for information about places, dates and times to play, and feel free to add your own recommendations. As the weather turns nicer, we will look to add a weeknight game as well. But that’s not all! We’d also like to create a group of fans of international soccer (La Liga from Spain, the Premier League from England, etc.) who would like to meet at a restaurant or bar to watch the games and - why not? - mak …
Get out of your house, apt, condo, whatever... Are you in Portland? Come be social. Been here a while? New in town? 20's or 30's? Welcome to the first and what is currently the only slacklining group in the Portland area. Slacklining is similar to tight rope walking except the material used is stretchy and moves when weighted. Moving with the line will strengthen your core muscles and stabilizer muscles and in turn give you a greater sense of balance. If you have weak ankles and love to hike, this will be a beneficial part of your weekly conditioning program. One of the first things you will notice when slacklining is h …
We started this group to meet and play soccer with people around North Portland. The purpose of this group is to establish a weekly or twice weekly pickup soccer game in a park in North Portland. We're new to Portland, we like to play pick up soccer, and we want to meet people! After the game, consider coming on down to a pub on Mississippi Street for some pints! (Prost!, Bar Bar, Sidecar, Crows Bar - these are our favorites so far) Anyone can join this group no matter your skill level. Our only …

No one gets left behind! Rides are 20+ miles in distance, and We are open to doing other activities including short hikes and kayaking.
