We're a group of passionate outdoor enthusiasts with a cause. Outdoor physical activity is essential in maintaining and improving a healthy individual's well-being. To children living in poverty, outdoor activity is a luxury. The purpose of this group is to participate in volunteer events that support and promote the outreach programming of Journeys West, a local Non-Profit Organization.

This group is for hiking and backpacking enthusiasts under the age of 35. I am looking to keep this group informal and I am planning to schedule meetups once or twice a month. The hikes will not be for beginners as I enjoy a good pace while hiking and I am looking for outdoor enthusiasts who are like minded. I am open for suggestions as to places to hike and backpack and I am planning on scheduling overnight and multiple day backpacking trips in Arizona and beyond.

We started this group to share our love of trail running with the local running community in and around Tempe, Arizona. We will organize a group trail run once a week in Tempe at Papago Park. Each run will be about 1 hour long, but we will have two different groups based on experience level (4 or 6 miles approx.). The Greater Phoenix Orienteering Club is a group dedicated to the sport of orienteering. Orienteering is an event in which competitors use map and compass skills to navigate over terrain as quickly as possible in order to find a series of pre-placed "control" markers.
